Oyo SSG Lauds Education Commissioner Over Selfless Service

…as HOS, Commissioners, Directors, Others Felicitate him on Birthday

The Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, Commissioners and other Executive members of the state government, on Friday, felicitated the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Prof Salihu Abdulwaheed, on his birthday, describing him as a man of honour.

The SSG, while speaking at a short program, held in honour of the Commissioner in his office at the ministry, said he has displayed pragmatic leadership with selfless service to the people of the state within the short time of his assumption of office.

The SSG described him as a committed and dedicated public servant, who has contributed to the Education sector in Nigeria and most, especially Oyo state.

In her remarks, the Oyo state Head of service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni , congratulated the commissioner on the occasion and prayed for his success in all his endeavor.

Equally, special prayers were offered by the Honourable Commissioners for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade; Finance, Mr. Akinola Ojo and the Permanent Secretary, Security and Cabinets, Mr. Akeem Salami.
In his response, the celebrant, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Salihu Abdulwaheed appreciated Governor Makinde for giving him the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.
He also thanked the State’s executive members led by the Secretary to the state government , Prof Adeyomo and other well-wishers for finding time to celebrate him.

The short event had in attendance ,Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon Mogbonjubola Abdul Majeed, his counterpart at Ministry of Budget and Planning, Prof. Babatunde Musbaudeen and Directors from the Education Ministry .
