Support administration of Gov Makinde more for good dividends, Adekanbi charges PWD
The Oyo State Director General for people Living with Disabilities, Barrister Ayodele Adekanbi, has called on people with disabilities to ensure they support the present administration in order to deliver it promises to all PWD in the state.
The call was made during the courtesy call of all Supervisory Councilors in all the 33 Local government in Oyo State to his office.
While addressing the Supervisory Councilors, Barr. Adekanbi stated that there is a lot of work to be done regarding to helping people with disabilities in the state.
He charged all the Supervisory Councilors to speak up whenever they notice something that is not right and ensure they speak for PWD in any forum they have the opportunities to speak.
Adekanbi noted that: “This present administration had done a lot for PWD in the state, Governor Makinde had approved the State Disabilities Bill into law to cater for all the PWD in the state.
“Let me advise you to always say something whenever you see anything that is not right and make sure you speak up and fight for our people to ensure that no PWD is left behind.”
In his address, the Executive Assistant to Governor Makinde on People with Disabilities, Hon. Olufemi Timothy, admonished all the Supervisory Councilors in the state to work together as one inorder for people with Disabilities to receive their benefit and welfare under the present administration.
“Let me encourage you all to make sure you cooperate and work together as one family so that PWDs will receive benefits and welfares under the Administration of GSM Omituntun 2.0.”
“Let everyone work in unison toward the attainment of Sustainable Development Economic, Environment and Social goals.”
Earlier in his remark, the Supervisory Councilor in Akinyele Local government, Hon. Razak Adeleke who speak on behalf of all the Supervisory Councilors charged the Director general for people with Disabilities Agency and Executive Assistant to Governor makinde on PWD to push for more of the inclusion of People with Disabilities in political appointments, job opportunities and other avenue to serve the people of the state.
He further called for the support of the present government to help in building of schools for the PWD and appointment of the people with Disabilities .
Hon Razak Adeleke said that: “Firstly, on behalf of the Honourables Supervisory and the S.A on people Living with Disabilities in the 33 Local Government areas of Oyo state, we heartily congratulate Barrister Adekanmbi as the DG PWD Agency and Hon. Femi Timothy Sunday as E.A on PWD and appreciate Governor Makinde for their achievements and the new positions.”
“They both truly deserve it as our leaders, our prayer is that you both succeed as you enter this new phase of your official assignments.”
“It is the desire of the Honourables Supervisory Councilors on people with Disabilities that you both should strive to push for the inclusion of the Disability community in the state and more of political appointments, job opportunities and building of schools for the PWD he said.
