Olodo Bridge: Oyo Govt Opens Alternative Route, Says Collapsed Bridge will Be Fixed in Six Months
Oyo State Government have officially opened abandoned 2.5km Oki road as succor and alternative vehicular route to Olodo.
Commissioner for works and Public transport, Professor Daud Sangodoyin, made the declaration while inspecting Oki road through alaka to bank Olodo.
Professor Sangodoyin said opening of the road under construction, will ameliorate the hardship facing the commuters adding that the washed away olodo bridge will be fixed and ready to use in 6 months
While urging the people of the state to be patient with the government, he also revealed that work will soon commence on 3.8km Kumopayi road to serve as another alternative pending the reconstruction of the 35.7mitre olódo road
Residents and motorists plying the road who commended Governor Seyi Makinde, urged the state government to perfect the road smooth and easy movement.
Men of Oyo State road transport management authority OYRTMA were seen directing vehicular movement through the road constructed during erstwhile Western region.
