O.O.K launches agric radio/television in Ibadan
An online Agricultural Radio and Television, O.O.K Farms Radio and Television has been launched in Ibadan to bridge the gap of information between the government and the people, the People’s and the farmers, the government and the farmers to provide vital information that will solve food insecurity in the country.
The Launching which was held at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Moniya Ibadan, witnessed royal father’s and farmers in agricultural sector.
While address newsmen, the General Managing Director, Mrs Omolara Svensson explained that there is a need to re-revolutionize the agricultural sector in the country by given the farmers proper knowledge of modern day farming input noting that it is the major source wealth for the nation.
She however charged farmers to always work together noting that their strength is in their numbers.
Earlier in his address, the immediate former Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi makinde on Agribusiness and former Director General Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency, Dr. Debo Akande said there is a need for the younger generation to join in the agribusiness and engage in capacity development to replace the older generations that are fading away in agribusiness due to their age.
At the event O.O.K Radio and Television which is the subsidiaries of O.O.K farm present some of their farm produce, which include: Rice, Garri, Shea butter and Organic Honey.
