ACOMORON makes case for autonomy, says union not involved in violence

The Chairman of Oyo state’s Amalgamated Commercial Tricycles, Motorcycles owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, (ACOMORON), Solomon Olugbode, has appealed for the association’s autonomy.

Solomon made the appeal while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan over unrest that occurred over dissolution of the Disciplinary committee of the Park Management System by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The ACOMORON’s Chairman stated that his appeal is necessary to inform members of the public that the association is not involved in the violence that has caused properties destruction urging security agents to wade into action.

Solomon Olugbode also explained that ACOMORON is different from the National Union of Road Transport Workers whose activities were proscribed four year ago.

Despite the appeal, Chairman of Oyo state’s ACOMORON, Solomon Olugbode, also promised cooperation of his members with the newly established Mobilization Agency for Socio-economic Development.
