ACOMORON Appeals to Oyo Assembly to Enact Law to Regulate Operations of Commercial Motorcyclist
Oyo state chapter of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Riders of Nigeria (ACOMORON) has appealed to Oyo state house of assembly to enact a law that will recognize a body which will regulate and sanitize the operations of commercial motorcycle and tricycle riders for maximum productivity in the state.
The appeal was made by the chairman, Oyo state ACOMORON, Comrade Solomon Olugbode, during the United Nations Global Road Safety Campaign, today, held in Ibadan.
Recall that Oyo state house of assembly passed a bill restricting motorcycles operations beyond 10pm.
Comrade Olugbode said that challenges of safety and insecurity can be resolved if the state government can return tricycle and motorcycle parks which has been violently taken over by motorist union back to ACOMORON.
He assured that motorcyclist will do their best to ensure there is safety on the road in the state.
