My Candid Advice to My Governor- Rev. Adenike Tade (Mama Empowerment)
The 2023 Oyo South Senatorial candidate for the Young Progressives Party in Oyo state, Reverend Dr. Adenike Victor -Tade, popularly called Mama Empowerment, has advised the state governor to have a
better open-door policy to allow more people who have good intentions for the present administration.
Reverend Adenike gave the admonition while addressing Journalists on her 53rd birthday celebration at her office in Oke-Bola, Ibadan.
She admonished the governor to put in place an open-door policy that will help him to fulfill the promises he made to the people in Omituntun 2.0.
Dr.Adenike urged the governor to reduce bureaucracy in his government but allow experts to contribute their experiences for the benefit of the state. She stated that she is ready even without remuneration for the first six months to tackle unemployment.
She called on the governor to ensure the gainful employment of the youth as this will improve youth well-being, state security and boost the economy of the state.
Reverend Adenike further advised the governor to play politics beyond PDP affiliations, for the political and economic experiences of others in his government would be added value for the success of his second term administration.
She stated that “The Seyi I know, is agile, resourceful and calculating, want a better Oyo state but the challenge I used to see from his administration is bureaucracy. For instance, many attempts I made to see him were aborted.
“Most of the people that might have good Intentions, and additional good advice are always far from him, am not saying that is not with good people but of course, more room should be made available.
” I want him to work on the unemployment problem we have, if his Excellency can minimize the unemployment problem in Oyo state, people will celebrate him more till his old age.
“I don’t want him to work on, oh! This person work for us, he didn’t work for us, this one is not in our party, let him look for competency, vessels that can take Oyo state to the next level, she said.
