2nd Term Victory: Ido LG Chair, Adeojo, Promises More Dividends Of Democracy
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has promised the people of the Council more development and other dividends of democracy in the second term of Governor Seyi Makinde.
He made the promise on Wednesday during a get-together party organised to celebrate the re-election victory of the governor, which held at the Council’s Secretariat.
Adeojo, at the ‘victory party’, expressed his sincere appreciation to all PDP leaders, traditional rulers and the entire good people of the Council.
He appreciated the efforts and support of all the stakeholders during the just-concluded governorship election, describing the victory as well-deserved.
“It is a clear indication that the people of Oyo State really appreciate the governor’s various infrastructural projects and selfless service, which have greatly improved the economy of the state.
“With all of these achievements, our people were encouraged to reciprocate the kind gesture of the governor with their massive votes. They really spoke loudly,” he stated.
The Council boss equally prayed that God, in His infinite mercy, will continue to protect the governor and grant him the will and wisdom for outstanding performance in his second term.
Hon. Adeojo, however, enjoined the people of the Council and Oyo State at large to continue to support the governor in so that he can deliver as promised.
In their separate remarks, the Party Chairman, Alhaji Akinsola Ayuba and the leader in Ido Local Government, Mallam Muili Yusuf, expressed their gratitude to the party Executives, political functionaries and all members of PDP as well as the electorates for their genuine support.
Those present at the event were traditional rulers including Chief Thomas Olabamiji (Alakufo), Chief Wahab Olabanji (Okelade Okin), Chief Muritala Babalola (Onido), Chief Dauda Omotosho (Alawotan) Chaief MKO Adebayo (Olomi), Chief Raumi B. Idowu (Alapete), Chief Abobade Adefisoye (Idioro Elewa), Chief R.O Olatoye (Erinkojaobe), Chief Mudasiru Adediran (Fenwa).
Also at the event were party leaders and elders including Alhaji Chief Akinsola Ayuba, Alhaji Alabanla, Alhaji Isiaka Adeola, Barrister Niyi Oyekunle, Alhaji Adeoye, Baba Elewedu, Baba Abdullahi Tijani, Baba Sunday, Alhaji Aderibigbe, Baba Bashir Adeshiyan.
Equally, Councillors, leaders of Legislative Council, Hon. Akin Latif, Hon. Oladokun, Yaya Abdullateef, Baba Adeoye, the Director of Administrative, the Head of Local Government Administrative (HLGA), Dr. Mrs. Agnes Ojo, Ido CAN Chairman and the Executive excos of the Council attended the event.
