I Supported Tinubu Win in Ekiti Because He Promised to Support Me in Return- Peter Ayodele Fayose
Peter Ayodele Fayose Omatseye, a former governor of Ekiti State, has disclosed that he backed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president because Tinubu had pledged to support his bid for the Senate. In his speech, he affirmed his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and claimed that the latter kept his word when it came to running for senator.
According to Fayose, Senator Babafemi Ojudu was the only person opposed to Tinubu’s decision to back him. Ayodele added that Ojudu had stated that he would leave the country if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu were elected president.
“When I assisted Asiwaju and the APC in winning Ekiti for Kayode Fayemi, Asiwaju promised me that CAN would support me for the Senate, but when the Senate election arose, Asiwaju asked the Ekiti people to support me, unfortunately, Ojudu said NO, he disobeyed Asiwaju, and he acted in a different way,” he said. Curiously, it is the same Ojudu who is stating now that he will leave Nigeria if Tinubu wins the election for president.
