El-Rufai Can’t Force We Northerners To Vote for A Stranger Who Call Himself A Candidate – Bafarawa
According to Punch News reports, it was reported that the former Sokoto State Governor and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Attahiru Bafarawa, has reacted to the comment by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that there are no elders left in northern Nigeria.
It was further reported that Bafarawa said the comment was an affront to the North and unpleasant for El-Rufai to categorize all as bad eggs.
According to one of his statements, Attahiru Bafarawa also said that “it is really wrong for El-Rufai to say Tinubu will win the election whether the people support him or not.”
“El-Rufai can’t force his decision on the Northerners because we are in the era of democracy and everybody has the right to vote for the candidate of his or her choice.” “Moreover, who told El-Rufai that the whole Northerners are supporting Tinubu?
“El-Rufai can’t force us Northerners to vote for a stranger who calls himself a candidate.” “As he is busy campaigning for their party, we too are busy doing the same on our side for our own candidate, and the February 25 election will decide.” He said
