Over 180 Golfers Vie In Birthday Kitty To Celebrate TGC Past Captain Laniyan At 60
It was a carnival-like over the weekend when more than 180 golfers which included Army generals, six Club past captains, four Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Justices of the Appeal Court stormed the prestigious Tiger Golf Club, Odogbo Ojoo Ibadan to participate in the 60th birthday kitty of the former Captain of the Club, Muyiwa Laniyan.
After the two-day golfing event amidst pomp and pageantries, Barr Idowu Salami from Ibadan Golf Club emerged the overall best with the net scores of 68, beating two others on count back, carting home an exciting prize.
The event commenced with a cocktail on Friday, and over 180 golfers that participated in the tourney stormed the 18 holes beautiful golf course of Tiger Golf Club on Saturday to compete while they all treated themselves to classical saxophone solo music and a very popular DJ in the evening during the prize presentation.
The 60th Birthday Planning Committee headed by Femi Adigun and Otunba Yomi Ojo, in their goodwill messages appreciated the participants, all and sundry that contributed to the successful hosting of a befitting golf kitty for the celebrant popularly known as Araba.
The renowned Estate Surveyor, Muyiwa Laniyan in his remarks appreciate God, his wife, Mrs, Abiola Laniyan, kids and friends for their support to the success of the two-day event, he appreciated the Captain of Tiger Golf Club, Mr. Tunde Salami and other past Club Captains that came to celebrate with him, while thanking the golfers that traveled from far and near to grace the event.
