Makinde, Teslim absent at BBC debate as Adelabu upbeat of victory

The incumbent governor and People’s Democratic party gubernatorial candidate, Seyi Makinde and All Progressive Congress gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state, Teslim Folarin were Absent at the British Broadcasting Corporation state governorship debate.

The debate which was held at Theophilus Ogunlesi hall, opposite University Teaching Hospital, Yemetu Ibadan.

Addressing newsmen, Accord party gubernatorial candidate Adebayo Adelabu said that he is confident in emerging victorious at the 2023 state governorship poll noting that with all the indices in his favor, his victory is sure.

While he was quizzed on the coalition with other gubernatorial candidates , denied any coalition with other gubernatorial candidates stressed that if there is any possibility coalition with him it is acceptable by him.

In his addressed the Social Democratic party gubernatorial candidate, Michael Lana promised to introduced community development and security agency to tackle the insecurity menace challenging the economy growth of the state if he is elected as the governor of Oyo state.

The gubernatorial candidates that witnesses the governorship debate are: The Accord party gubernatorial candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, The Labour party candidate, Taofeek Akinwale and the Social Democratic party gubernatorial candidate, Michael Lana.
