Makinde’s wife charges PDP support group, TOMT, to ensure gov’s re-election

Wife of Oyo state governor Engineer Tamunominini Makinde has charged the members and the supporters of Oyo state People’s Democratic party (PDP) to ensure they work as a team for the possibility of the re-election of governor Seyi makinde to be fulfilled.

She gave the charged while having a breakfast meeting with Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde Team (TOM T) One of the caucus group in people’s Democratic party (PDP) Oyo state chapter, the meeting was held at the residence of governor Makinde in preparation for this year general election.

Mrs Makinde admonished the members not to relent in canvassing for the re-election of governor makinde noting that there is a lot to be done and not to be discourage.

She further advised the people of the state to make sure they collect their permanent voters card for them to be able to exercise their franchise during the election.

Mrs makinde pleaded on the people of the state on the need to live in unity for the state to be counted among the comity of peaceful state in Nigeria.

In his goodwill message, One of the patron of the group and ally of governor Seyi makinde, Hon. Babatunde Tijani charged all the members of the group to double their effort and prepared for the election inorder for Engineer Seyi makinde to double the margin of victory he would garnered at the coming poll.

Double ‘T’ as he is fondly called by the members of People’s Democratic party (PDP) in the state, further warned members of the group and the party not to allow grudges or infighting among the members to destroy the unity that has kept the group going.

Hon. Babatunde Tijani admonished the members to ensure they deploy another strategy different from what is been used in 2019 stressed that if there is any strategy members want the group to deploy the leaders should be informed.

He advised all the members to ensure that the group must have at least ten representative of the group at each polling unit in the state.

“The wife of the governor have confidence in you in extension Governor Seyi makinde also have confidence in you, I will not want you to disappoint us.

“Though alot of people were asking me that who are we contesting with because the opposition are in consequential people because anything worth at all is worth doing well.

“In the last election we have about we have about Five hundred and fifteen thousand votes in 2019.

“This upcoming election we must make sure we garnered one million votes plus and how can garnered the vote?

“It is through your efforts, every body must be fully prepared, there must not be grudges or infighting among the members.

“The first lady has believe in you people and me also believe in you that you will deliver during the election.

“Please let us try another strategy from the one we used in 2019 and if there is any strategy you want us apply, please inform us.

“The first lady want that in any where we want to be going for campaign, you know campaign has started fully yesterday, and we are all aware of the role you play during the consultative meetings, so this time around, you must make sure that in all the polling unit at least ten TOMT members must be there because we must vote and when we vote, we must guide it so that it will not hijack by hoodlums.

“I believe and I know you can do it.

“Finally, you might heard many rumors, you have people backing you up, he said.

Highlights of the program was the distribution of Bags of rice to all the members and Widows that came for solidarity visit with some cash gifts as their Christmas and new gifts.
