2023: We’re set to play prominent role to change Nigeria’s narrative, says G-5 Govs
The G5 Governors have expressed readiness to play a prominent role that would change the narrative of Nigeria’s elections in the 2023 polls.
The five governors revealed this at a dinner held to strategize, familiarize and prepare ahead of Governor Seyi Makinde reelection campaign.
In his remark, Governor Seyi Makinde who described the G5 as an integrity group, submitted that Nigeria is at a point where decision have to be taken for it betterment, peaceful coexistence, progress and development.
While attributing the success of the current administration in Oyo state to his team for supporting the vision and the believe people of the state had by entrusting him with their votes, urged everyone to play their respective roles for the benefits of the people and nation at large.
Earlier speaking on behalf of the G5 group, River state governor, Nyesom Wike, emphasized that the country must move forward not by ethnicity but equity, fairness and justice.
He admonished anyone planning to stand on Seyi Makinde’s reelection to reflect on his achievements and concur before being disgraced by the electorates at the poll.
Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde reelection campaign will kick off later today at the Mapo Hill, Ibadan.
