2023 Is Your Final Burial, You’re Voice Of The Dead Among Living Political Parties–Oyo PDP Mocks APC Over Comment
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state on Tuesday blasted the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over a statement credited to the opposition party in the state.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) had accused the PDP of sponsoring fake news denying having record of anyone with the name of the name Bashiru Adeola, who is a known APC stalwart simply because the bitter truth was spoken.
The Oyo state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Akeem Olatunji in a press statement early Wednesday (today) morning described the statement by the APC in Oyo state as not only unfortunate but also a confirmation of a party living in its own illusions saying the opposition now also suffers delusions in addition to its unrestrained desperation to get access to the state coffers at all cost.
The PDP in its statement said next month’s general elections would be the final burial of the opposition party in the state as Nigerians have openly rejected the party at all levels ahead of the coming polls noting that Oyo is already sealed for Governor Seyi Makinde by not only workers and pensioners in the state but also by students of voting age, traders, artisans, including non indigenes across the state.
The ruling party noted that even if members of APC in Oyo state being deceived don’t know the truth the party telling its members the persistent lies knows it which was why one of its stalwart who could no longer live with the lies freed himself of the APC delusions by speaking out the truth.
According to PDP in Oyo state, Oyo APC’s shocking reaction to Adeola’s confession was a clear manifestation of a party whose dream of sitting on a coveted throne was abruptly interrupted by a tragic wake up call urging the opposition not to die before its political death arrives in less than three months.
The ruling PDP noted that Adeola’s confession was merely one out of the thousands in the opposition party who are secretly agonizing over the tattered status or condition of APC in Oyo State at a time Oyo State PDP is waxing stronger going from strength to strength under the able leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
“Oyo APC is a political fortunes have diminished across the length and breath of the state such that its governorship candidate, a man once accused of murderer and confirmed serial loser could not even get the endorsement of his party’s presidential candidate barely three months to election.” Oyo PDP stated.
Oyo state PDP however, stated that since it has uncovered a grand plan of a deadly mission assigned to a secret ‘killer-squard’ by the APC in Oyo state to eliminate anyone opposed to its desperate aspiration to win the 2023 election at all cost, it has decided to to be more careful in handling matters relating to the opposition party in the state to avoid making the state a theatre of political war.
Consequently, the ruling PDP in Oyo state maintained that APC was merely surviving on a last lifeline tied to the tenure of President Mohammadu Buhari as the party in power at the center stressing that the calamity brought upon Nigerians by the APC could not be described in a hurry.
“We read with mixed feeling connoting bad and good omens. Bad because the least atom of honour and dignity is not in APC at all levels.
“For the sake of emphasis and avoidance of doubt, let us make it abundantly clear at this point, that 2023 is not a competition between Governor Makinde of PDP against anyone in opposition party. It is only a validation process by the good people of Oyo state to fulfill the constitutional requirements for the re election of their Governor.
“There’s absolutely no vacancy at the Agodi Government House and APC knows this hard fact within it’s ranks, the earlier they come to term with this irrevocably fact, the better for their mental health.
“With all the unprecedented practical achievements of the present administration and the restoration of Oyo’s lost glory to it’s enviable position as a truly the pacesetter, Oyo has never been more safer than now under the leadership of Governor Makinde.” The ruling party added.
The PDP in the state however, reiterated that APC in Oyo state and its unpopular governorship candidate made Makinde’s reelection bid even more easier when a man allegedly involved in a yet unresolved murder case as the prime suspect in the gruesome murder of Late Alhaji Eleweomo was announced as its standard bearer saying it was for that reason PDP.
“It is still part of an aggravated illusive mindset that an openly rejected political party from top to bottom would still hope it had a chance among others in the race for the number seat. It would even have been more better if the name APC was changed before joining this race because it’s a name synonymous with terror, killings, fear, brazen corruption and pervading poverty.” The Oyo PDP added.
