Yuletide: Nigerians urged to appreciate God’s benevolence despite hardship, challenges
In the spirit of the Yuletide, Nigerians have been encouraged to develop an attitude of hope and appreciation to God for the gift of life despite socio economic challenges and anxiety as 2023 general elections approach.
This was the crux of the message by the Senior Pastor of Molete Baptist church, Revd Edward Alabi and other speakers at the 5th edition of night of carols organized by SplashFm and LageluFm to celebrate the Christmas season.
Beyond creating an atmosphere of entertainment, fun and relaxation, the SplashFm, LageluFm night of carols is also a divine assembly of praise and thanksgiving, where people of goodwill irrespective of their religious stance converge to appreciate God for his benevolence all through the year.
As expected, lessons drawn from the scriptures were read in English, Yoruba, as well as Pidgin by popular programme hosts and news presenters from both SplashFm and Lagelufm to the delight of the audience.
In his exhortation Senior Pastor Edward Alabi drawing lessons from the scriptures stressed on the significance of the season and exhorted Nigerians to anchor their faith on God while showing love towards others as greater days lie ahead.
Special rendition of various carol hymns by the Celestial church, Global Harvest and GOFAMINT church thrilled the audience with spiritual rhapsody, while SplashFm and Lagelufm mass choir equally added a unique vibe to the event
Earlier in their various remarks, Wife of the founder of West Midlands communications, owner of SplashFm and Lagelufm Chief Mrs Onikepo Akande, and the General Manager, Operations, Mr Tunde Olawuwo urged Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of the season by showing love one to another while keep hope alive for a better tomorrow.
The icying on the cake that electrified the night was a ministration in songs by sensational gospel artiste Zion Yetunde Are and Comedy by Woli Agba
The Ekaarun Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman/Founder of SplashFm and Lagelufm High Chief Adebayo Akande, Chief Operating Officer Mrs Atinuke Adetunji, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde CEO, Kayrom lee group of companies amongst other dignitaries graced the event .
