Okedara Highlights How Grassroots Sport and Education Can Turnaround Constituency
Okedara Aderogba Ridwan who is aspiring to represent Atiba Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly at the next political dispensation has highlighted how he can use grassroots sport cum education to turnaround the fortune of his constituency if given the chance.
Okedara who has masters in Financial Mathematics and Numerical Analysis from the University of Ibadan after graduating from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) with B. Math declared this while addressing newsmen in Oyo over the weekend, where he vowed to restore Atiba to the forefront of national politics via qualitative and vibrant representation.
“I believed so much in using sports programs to reduce poverty, promote health, and education. My aims are to create and support numerous programs structured to uplift youths through sports. That being said sports can have a positive impact on constituency development and combating poverty”.
“Promote grassroots education and grassroots sports, by proposing bills that’ll not only impact positively on the people of my constituency but Oyo State at Large and will stand as prototype to be copied by the National body in the coming years”, said the house of assembly candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the 2023 general election noted.
He assured his people of a quarterly reports and town hall meetings with the constituents, to hear feedback and also educate them if voted to represent them on policy making that are meant to affect their lives positively, while also promising to facilitate effective and live changing projects for the constituency from both government and private organizations and ensuring its execution as and when due.
Okedara who is popularly known as Mr. Planet added that: “I will mobilize youth to have their own voice in the digital economy via block chain technology. Will sponsor bills that will bring about security of lives and properties, promote economic recovery and growth of my constituency and in turn have a generalized effect on not just Oyo State”.
