The SESC also thanked Alh Gusau for committing his personal resources to motivate the girls while also commending other well meaning Nigerians that donated cash incentives to appreciate the hard won bronze medals.
“It will be recalled that Gusau who has been with the team from the time they made it to the quarterfinal pledged and fulfilled 3,000 USD for the win against Chile in their last group game, and another 3,000 USD for the win against the USA in the Quarterfinal. The monies were paid directly into the girls and their officials’ accounts”.
