Super Eagles Supporters Club Lauds Gov Makinde Over Lekan Salami Stadium
Following the successful hosting of the Qualifying match involving the Nigeria’s Dream Team Eagles and Tanzania side in Ibadan over the weekend, the Oyo State Chapter of the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) has thumped up the executive Governor of Oyo State Engr. Seyi Makinde over the refurbishment of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex and for providing an enabling environment.
A statement signed by the vice Chairman of SESC Oyo State Chapter, Ogunsola Olumuyiwa Oludele and made available to newsmen in Ibadan commended Gov. Makinde and other members of Super Eagles Supporters Club that came from different chapters association in Nigeria to Ibadan to cheers the Nigerian boys to victory.
“We want to specially thank the sports loving governor that we have in Oyo State who gave the Lekan Salami Sports Complex a facelift to international standard. It will be recalled that it is more than 18 years that we hosted a football match of that magnitude in Ibadan, hence kudos must be given to the Governor Makinde for bringing back such soccer funfair”
“We also want to use this medium to thank and appreciate members of Super Eagles Supporters Club that came from all chapters in Nigeria to Ibadan to cheers our boys to victory, we shall be looking forward to host them again so they can better enjoy our warm hospitality gestures”, that statement reads in part.
