Makinde Calls For Ayu”s Resignation At Atiku South West Assembly In Ibadan

The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has called for the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
Makinde made the call on Wednesday at a consultative meeting with the party’s presidential candidate alongside all leaders of the party from the Southwest held in Ibadan.
Makinde stated the the change became imperative for the party to reflect it national outlook and to portray what Nigerians should expect from the party in 2023 if the party wins the general elections.
In his remarks, the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said the calls for the resignation of the national chairman or any national officer can only be achieved through the party’s constitution adding that the party’s constitution can only be amended.
He however commended Governor Makinde for organizing the stakeholders meeting and noted that the party is poised to win in Lagos, Oyo and other Southwest states.
In his address, the representative of the People’s Democratic party National chairman, Senator Iliya Damagum urged all the party stakeholders to beat with the party and commit themselves to to work diligently for the party.
