Onjo of Okeho is Alive — King’s Family Debunks Death Rumour
From Ogundele Olanrewaju
The rumours being circulated in some quarters that the Onjo of Okeho, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha (Adeitan II) in Kajola Local Government area of Oyo State, is dead, has been proved to be false by the monarch’s family.
It has earlier been reported by some blogs and online news media (not Oyomesi), that the monarch has joined his ancestors, after a brief illness.
However in a twist turn of event, a broadcaster, Adebowale Okelola, has debunked the rumour by releasing a post on olofin radio, reassuring the people that the 18th monarch of the town, is still alive.
“A good number of people out there are just looking for ways to cash out from people’s predicaments. Since last night, I have heard a lot of people spread news about the death of our monarch, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha, the Onjo of Okeho.
“However, this is to let you know that Oba Rafiu Osuolale is still alive and he is in the palace. Don’t let anyone deceive you. Long may the king live”, he added.
In the meantime, the former customs officer who was enthroned in 2003, has been said to be hale and hearty as of the time of filing this report.
