Adebanjo’s Afenifere, No Threat to Tinubu- Yoruba Mandate Group
by Oyeniyi Esan
The president general of Yoruba Mandate Group, Akogun Banji Ojo, has described the silence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the unethical, undemocratic and unhealthy statement of Ayo Adebanjo as a perfect reflection of wisdom, leadership and diplomacy.
He spoke while delivering a Keynote address during an online workshop held by Primal News with the theme: ‘Ethical Reflection of Freedom in the Face of Democracy’, on Monday with a host from members across the globe.
According to him, “As a leader of a socio-political group with cultural and tribal intonation should be conscious because thier credibility depends on thier unflinching support to the tribe, her people and her culture.
“On this very note, Afenifere has failed not just for the entire Yoruba race, but the true course of the Yoruba people since the emergence of Chief MKO Abiola to the present moment.
“It is also to observed that Afenifere as a supposed pan Yoruba group is not united, as regards the manner they even treated Ayo Adebanjo’s statement, considering the source as fake but the message is true.
“They debunked the authenticity of the source and accept the leader’s message in statement reflects that they are not united, and we still wait to hear what the original source would say.
