New-deputy Governor of Oyo state, Alhaji Bayo Lawal, has been sworn-in moments after the impeachment of former Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan.

The inauguration which held at the Executive Council Chamber of the Governor’s office was administered by the state chief judge, Munta Abimbola.

While asserting that to whom much is given, much is expected, Governor Seyi Makinde, said Lawal is to oversee affairs of the Water corporation, Oyo state Road Maintenance Agency and the Ministry of Justice.

While speaking with newsmen after the inauguration ceremony, Alhaji Bayo Lawal, promised to deploy his administrative expertise into the state affairs.

He further promised to deploy his total loyalty to the governor of Oyo state as laid down in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria and work together with the governor to move the state from poverty to prosperity.

It would be recalled that the former Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, was impeached by members of Oyo state House of Assembly after seven man panel constituted to investigate allegations concludes it’s assignment.
