INEC Opens Nomination portal for Political Parties to Upload Candidates Personal info

Oyo state Resident Electoral Commission, Barrister Mutiu Agboke has affirmed that INEC has introduced candidates nomination portal through which political parties upload the list and personal particulars of their nominated candidate.
Barrister Mutiu Agboke stated this at the Valedictory programme and media briefing with newsmen, held at Dr. Mutiu Agboke Collation centre.
Agboke noted that candidate nomination portal for Governorship/Deputy/House of Assembly are to be uploaded between first and 15th of July 2022.
He further said that the process is to allow the general publics to avail themselves of the publication and to let aspirants cross-check the particulars of those that did not participant in the recent held party primaries to seek for redress.
Agboke added that political parties have a constitutional and legal obligations to be meticulous, subject the list and personal particulars of their candidates to due diligence before submitting to the commission.
He warned political parties which present to the commission the name of a candidate who does not meet the qualification relating to constitutional requirements of eligibility, commit an offence will be convicted to the fine of 1million Naira.
