42nd anniversary: A’jorosun to award scholarships to 22 indigent students

An Ibadan Socio-cultural group Omo A’jorosun has promised to Award Scholarship to 22 tertiary institution indigines of Ibadan to mark 42 Anniversary of the group.

This was revealed by the President general of Omo A’jorosun, Alhaji Abiola Alli while addressing journalist after walk of peace by the members of Socio-cultural group which was held at Omo A’jorosun house Agodi, gate, Ibadan.

Speaking with journalists, President general of Omo A’jorosun, Alhaji Abiola Alli said that the program is a week and been used to celebrate the group for attaining such enviable height.

He further noted that the full week program is also normally been used to distribute gift to the motherless home to celebrate the week long program.

While lining up the program for Omo A’jorosun 42nd years anniversary, he added that after the he health walk which kick start the program, prayers was also held for the Omo A’jorosun, Ibadan land and Oyo state

Alli further added that there would be lecture title “Metamorphose of Ibadan land” Monday which will be given to the members and participants.

Also Tuesday and Wednesday the members will pay historical visit the palace of a two warlord families in Ibadan land, Balogun Ibikunle and Balogun Ogunmola inorder to be familiar with Ibadan history and to project forward.

On Thursday, The Socio-cultural group will also visit the palace of Olubadan land, Oba Dr. Lekan Balogun Alli Okunmade II the grant patron of Omo A’jorosun.

On Friday there will also be having final of table tennis competition and with some sporting event to celebrate the anniversary.

On Saturday would be the grand finale of the anniversary of accomplishment, achievement and success, which Governor Seyi makinde would be special guest of honour, former first lady of Oyo state, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja would be the Chairperson of the day and Former Chief Judge of Oyo state, Bolajoko Adeniji would be Mother of the day.

Alhaji Alli said that the Socio-cultural group will also award brilliant indigents student from secondary public school and tertiary institution and also induct new members into the group.

Alli further noted that the main objective of the group is to galvanize resources together for development of Ibadan land.
