‘I’ll ensure effective legislation’, Tegbe promises, as he clinches PDP Senate ticket in Oyo South

A Management Consultant, Chief Joseph Tegbe has emerged the flag-bearer of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP for Oyo South Senatorial District.
Chief Tegbe was declared winner by the Chief Returning Officer of the Oyo South PDP Electoral Committee, Hajia Fatima Saleh having polled 296 out of the total vote of 297.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Tegbe, who expressed gratitude to party leaders, members and delegates across the nine local government areas of the district promised to run all inclusive government with legislative policies favourable to all.
He also promised to facilitate establishment of ICT and industrialization for immediate and future benefits of youths.

One of the party chieftains in Oyo South senatorial and the Chairman, Pace Setter Transport Service, Mr. Dare Adeleke noted that the exercise was seamless due to party internal democracy, stressing that all aggrieved members would be appeased to ensure victory for the party.
An aspirant for House of Representatives from Ibadan South West/Ibadan North West, Mr. Abayomi Fagbenro said most aspirants stepped down for consensus candidate in compliance with the party leadership and support for Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration.
National Daily corespondent, Ogundele Olanrewaju who monitored the event as it unfold report that at the other places where the primaries were conducted, in Oyo Central Chief Bisi Ilaka emerged as the party flag-bearer, while in Oyo North Senatorial district, a Business mogul, Akinwale Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle also emerged respectively.
The Deputy National Chairman, Southwest, Alhaji Taofeeq Arapaja and Alhaja Bosede Adedibu and other party stalwart were in attendance at the election.
