Road Maintenance: OYRTMA alerts motorists on alternative routes at Iwo-Raod axis

Oyo state Road Transport Management Authority has informed the general public of a traffic diversion along Iwo-road axis due to ongoing road maintenance and reconstruction works that has hindered free flow of vehicular movement from the Iwo-road interchange towards Airport junction.

This was stated by the executive chairman Oyo state Road management authority, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, while addressing newsmen at the agency headquarter, Secretariat Ibadan.

Fagbemi said for those intending commuters that want to ply Lagos-Ibadan express way should take sawmill bridge, Onipepeye junction to link Wema Bank junction or Alakia.

He further informed intending commuters than want to ply Ife-Ibadan Express way inward Ibadan are advised to veer off the express at Wema Bank junction by taking the alternative route behind Wema Bank junction to navigate to seven-up, Monatan.

Fagbemi advised commuters to drive carefully around the affected area as the men and officers of Oyo state Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA) are working concertedly with relevant agencies to maintain orderliness while efforts are on by the construction workers to expedite actions within the shortest possible time.
