Olubadan-in-Council members endorse Balogun as next Olubadan

Following the crisis surrounding Olubadan’s position the Olubadan-in-council has endorsed high Chief Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan of Ibadan land.
The pronouncement was made while addressing newsmen on the crisis surrounding the making of new Olubadan of Ibadan land, which was held at Mapo hall, Ojaaba, Ibadan.
While speaking at the Press conference, the Otun Balogun, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola described the petition filed by former attorney general of the state, Michael Lana as an attempt to arrest the judgement of the Chief Judge.
He further said that since ten out of eleven Olubadan-in-Council has endorsed the next king, there is no case in court to defend.
In his address, the Otun Olubadan, High Chief Lekan Balogun urged the good people of Ibadan land to discard all unfounded rumors and insinuations which is capable of disturbing the peace of Ibadan land.
He further explained that with the tradition of Ibadan land, the Olubadan-in-council has been communicating with Oyo state government to ensure that every necessary step to sustain the peace of Ibadan is strictly adhere to.
High Chief Lekan Balogun further commiserated with the peace loving people of Ibadan land on the sudden transition to eternity of the late Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji the First.
He enjoined all the indigines of Ibadan to remain peaceful in all their conducts in order to sustain the unequalled historical peaceful co-existence.
