Makinde grants financial autonomy to Oyo Assembly

Oyo state governor Engineer Seyi makinde has signed financial autonomy for the state house of assembly into law.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had, in May 2020, signed an executive order, granting financial autonomy to both the legislative and judiciary across all states in the country.

While speaking to the Journalists after the signing, government makinde said that the state will not only do talking but will continue to practice whatever he preaches.

He further promised that the present administration will continue to make sure that it allow separation of power between the Executive, legislative and the judiciary.

Governor makinde promised that the present government will make sure the people of the state enjoy the dividend of democracy.
