Ibadan North LG boss, Akintayo bans street carnival in LG

The Executive Chairman Ibadan North East, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo has disclosed that the local government has banned street carnival Within the local government and its environ inorder to forestall security breach within the local government.

The disclosure was made while the chairman is addressing Journalists in his office today during the launching of new security architecture for the local government.

Hon. Akintayo said that from what he gathered from the security report that there are some groups touts and thugs planning to use this year carnival to forment trouble, unrest at the local and the policemen also has placed ban on street carnival.

He further Implored the residents of Ibadan North East to ensure they celebrate the festive season in peace and to share love with their neighbors as the season preaches.

Hon. Akintayo advised the people of the state to support present government in the state inorder to enjoy the dividend of democracy.
