Nigerian Red Cross installs Ibadan Northwest LG boss as patron

The Executive Chairman Ibadan North West local government, Hon. Rahmon Olanrewaju Adepoju has been made the patron of the Nigerian Red Cross society, Ibadan North West division.

The investiture of Hon. Rahmon Olanrewaju Adepoju was held at the premises of Ibadan North West local government today.

While speaking with journalists, the divisional chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross society, Ibadan North West division, Mrs C.O Oni who was represented by Mr Bewaji Ezekiel explained the reasons why Hon. Rahmon Olanrewaju Adepoju was appointed as the patron, he said that it is in the constitution of organization in every local government, patron must be the chairman of the local government which symbolizes the head of the local government.

In his address the chairman of Ibadan North West local government, Hon. Rahmon Olanrewaju Adepoju extended his gratitude to Nigerian Red Cross.

He further admonished the organization that for it not go into extinction at the local government level, they need to move to the grassroot to mobilize the youth into organization so as to allow the organization to move forward.

While the program was going the Nigerian Red Cross society further used the opportunity to hold a get together for the physically challenged at the local government.
