Family to remember Ibadan high chief, 21yrs after demise

Family of Gbadamosi Adedeji of Kosedawo’s compound, Agodi, Ibadan is set to remember former Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Yusuf Adisa Deji, 21 years after his demise.

Chief Deji, otherwise known as ‘Baba Elepo’ who was born on 3rd of March 1910 died on August, 2000 in his Ibadan residence after brief illness.

According to family source, the fidaus prayer for the 21st years rememberance of the deceased has been slated for 5th of November, 2021 at his residence in Kosedawo compound, Idi-Oro, Agodi, Ibadan.

The late chief was blessed with several children including the first woman in Oyo State to have attained the rank of Colonel in Nigerian Army, Col (Chief ) Mrs Nike Akerele (Rtd.).

The late Ibadan chief became the Mogaji of Kosedawo family in early 80’s and became Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland in mid-80’s, he climbed the ladder of Olubadan of Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland before he died.

As a result of intellectualism with native intelligence which earn him to
excel in his various sensitive positions while in the service, he was appointed President of Grace C Customary Court of Agodi and Mapo, the position he held for about ten (10) years.

He touched lives of many people in and outside Ibadan, he was a man who takes joy in the progress and development of his people and town while alive.
