Oyo Housing Chairman, Bayo Lawal Seeks Partnership With Wema Bank on Housing Estate Development

The Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Chief (Barr) Bayo Lawal has canvassed collaborative efforts between the corporation and Wema Banks PLC to eliminate identified obstacles to the growth of the state’s real estate sector.
Lawal made the call on Tuesday when the Managing Director of the financial institution paid a courtesy visit to the corporation’s headquarters at Bodija, Ibadan. The former Commissioner for Justice noted that the corporation has embarked on various housing estates across the state which is in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s Roadmap to Accelerated Development.
He therefore, admonished the management of the bank to partner with the corporation on the development of some of the housing estates in the state. He added that the corporation operates open door policy which is premised on probity, equity and accountability.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Wema Bank PLC, Ademola Adebise who led the delegation of the bank’s team to the headquarters of the corporation, commended the chairman of the Oyo Housing Corporation, Chief Bayo Lawal and the entire board and management for the transformation drive the team has embarked upon since Chief Lawal’s appointment as the chairman of the corporation.
Ademola however said the courtesy visit was aimed at familiarizing with the management of the corporation and to express his gratitude for the cooperation and working synergy that exists between the two outfits. He sought more collaborations which will be more beneficial to the corporation and residents of Oyo State.
