OLUYOLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERS ENDORSE LAMOLO AS THE CANDIDATE FOR OYO CENTRAL SENATORIAL CHAIRMAN

The Oluyole local government leaders have endorsed Hon Oladejo Moruff as the candidate for the Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming State Congress.

Alhaji Rasaq Akilapa made the announcement on behalf of the leaders on friday after a closed-door meeting which lasted for hours.

Oladejo, popularly known as Lamolo, was endorsed in the presence of party executives, elders across all the wards.

Speaking after the announcement, the current caretaker Chairman of the party in Oluyole local government,Hon Waheed Akinleye commended the leadership of the stakeholders for doing a good job at reaching a consensus.

He also congratulated Oladejo on his victory and assured him of the support of all, stressing that he can rely on their unflinching backing.

Another stakeholder, Hon Femi Abioye, said he was happy to see Oladejo emerge as the ‘chosen one’ and appreciated other leaders for being part of the history.

One of the leaders, Otunba Wale, explained, “So that we would not be working against ourselves at Oluyole local government, we the leaders came together, and we unanimously chose and agreed on the choice of Honourable Oladejo.”

In his response, Oladejo thanked the party leaders saying it was a project and vision for all.

He also assured them and other members of the party of an all-inclusive relationship.

Hon Oladejo is the current acting organising secretary of the party at the state level.
Lamolo is a grassroot and commited party member. He has served as the former Chairman Action Congress Of Nigeria in Oluyole local government between 2011-2014.

The former councilor hails from Oluyole Local Government Area in Oyo Central Senatorial district of the state.


Those who attended the meeting included Hon Adebolu Whab (Den Abbey),Alhaji Kamo Adeoye,Hon Adesokan Adeniyi, Hon Orelope, Alhaji Muibi Ogunrin,Alhaji Akilapa, Prince Dotun Oladipo,among others
