Nigeria @61: Makinde seeks Nigerian’s cooperation towards unity, progress

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has called on the people of the state and Nigerians at large to work together in unity and strive for the progress of the Nation.
Governor Makinde who was represented by the Secretary to the state Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun made the call during the 61st Independence Celebration Walk organized in commemoration of the 61st Independence day celebration by the state Government.
According to governor Makinde, the special Walk was necessary as it portrayed the strength, doggedness and the ability of the present administration in Oyo state to take the state to the greater heights.
The Walk commenced 8am at the Government house Arcade, while the participants walked through Queen Elizabeth Road, Total Garden, Oritamefa – Secretariat road, and it was terminated at the frontage of the State Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan.
Among the participants of the 61st Independence anniversary walk, were the Chief of Staff to the state Governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, the Head of Service Alhaja Ololade Agboola, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and Some other Political functionaries
