The Students Union Government of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, has named the Student Union Government building remodelled by Hon Victor Olojede, the Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor on Student Affairs, after Governor Seyi Makinde.
Speaking with newsmen on this development, Victor Olojede noted that the deftness and diplomacy adopted by the governor on issues relating to Students’ welfare should be emulated by other governors.
He added that Governor Makinde has maintained harmonious relationship with students across the state, saying that His boss will not renege in fulfilling other promises made to the students of the state.
He said: “During my last School tour, I was at the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, after meeting with the Management and students. And I had a meeting with the Students Union leaders at their Union Building.
“We both discussed how Governor Seyi Makinde have brought transformation in the Educational Sector of Oyo state, which has translated to the greater development of Student in the state.
“I was informed of how they have agreed to name the Student Union Building after His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde and how they need their Union building to be remodelled. They said the building is not in a good state and I assured and them that something will be done to it.
“Fortunately for them, today, we will be commissioning the renovated and furnished ‘H.E ENGR. OLUSEYI MAKINDE SUG BUILDING’.”
Olojede, however, appealed to the students to be focused in their studies and assured that the governor, like before, will continue to fulfil his promises to the students’ body in the state without delay.
